Hi, I am a high school student researching stories of Vietnam vets, and I came across this site. If anyone has any stories or experiences to share, please email them to me. All that is required are your first and last name, rank, branch of service, and unit assigned to in Vietnam. The rest is up to you. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

DOES ANYONE FROM 1ST PLATOON, REMEMBER THE NIGHT WE WERE OUT ON AMBUSH, WALKING ACROSS A DRY RICE PADDY, AND OUR POINT MAN "ALABAMA" HAD US STOP BECAUSE HE HEARD MOVEMENT IN THE TREE LINE. ALL OF A SUDDEN THIS MONSTER WATER BUFFALO BROKE THRU THE BUSHES AND STARTED CHASING EVERYONE. WE WERE RUNNING AROUND LIKE A BUNCH OF IDIOTS. WE DIDN'T WANT TO SHOOT THE BEAST BECAUSE IT WOULD GIVE AWAY OUR POSITION. I HAVE NEVER FORGOTTEN THAT NIGHT, DOES ANYONE ELSE REMEMBER IT?

Humped with Kilo during the summer of '69. Was FO'ing for 81 mortars. Was on Operation Rice Denial from Nov. 69 through Feb. 70 in Antenna Valley and in the Queson Mts. Including getting our asses kicked on Halloween Night. I been waiting 33 years for someone to say thank you. I'm getting older and my brothers " beyond the sky " are planning a party for all the 3/7 brothers for when they come home. Yawl were my last best friends and you are in my heart and soul. God Bless you all. Semper Fi brothers........a prayer for the new 3/7 !
